Better

It’s alright, it’s bad weather
Someday it will be better.
Even distant, we’re together
Someday it will be better.

There’s a clock on the wall
But it seems to be off
They say help’s coming soon
or maybe its not.

There’s a mansion I’ve been building.
At the end of a street where it’s snowing.
I will live there… heaven willing.
And someday, it will stop snowing.

There’s a soup on the stove
The temperature’s hot
And a basket of fruit
That’s what we’ve got.

I saw a bright star this morning
That star was still shining at noon
A beautiful storm I saw forming
By evening those storm clouds were blue.

It’s alright, it’s bad weather
Someday, it will be better.

World is wet, getting wetter.
Someday, things will be better.

As predicted, to the letter.
Someday, things will be better.

Maybe perfect, maybe never.
Someday, it will be better.

Even distant, we’re together.
Someday, this too shall be better.
